Basics of Color Pencil - How to create color palette

COLOR PALETTE WITH COLOR PENCILS

Before you start your color pencil or any art journey, basic thing is to do prepare color palette.
I didnt create it with my oil pastel during start of my art, but i realised importance of color palette when i start to draw complicated drawings..,
Basically Color palette is array of different color schemes you can create with your available medium be it color pencil or oil pastel etc.
I have created basic color palette of my color pencils as below,

You can also refer my below YouTube on how it was done.

Advantages of color palette are ,

1. It acts as shading practice as you shade different colors with different pressure
2. It shows us darker & lighter version of colors that we can get from a color pencil/oil pastel
3. It is easier to choose correct color pencil for your drawing by seeing color paletter

You can also color palette matrix where you can combinations of blending one color with another and outcomes of blending.

You can find details of materials which i use for drawings in separate post.
