1. Faber Castell 48 pc Water color pencils,
Initially i bought 24pc water color pencils from a nearby local store.
But once i get some interest on sketching, i got this from amazon.
Water color pencils are quite easy to handle as it just needs water as solvent to blend.
Other oil based pencils need alcoholic solvent to be used as medium.
For beginners, it is better to try with water color pencil as there is no big investment in that.
Once you develop great interest, you can get costlier pencils.

2. Paper medium
For my initial days of sketching, i used to normal A4 sheet paper.
Then when i studied more about blending with water and layering color pencil post blending, i thought to try with water blending.
Normal A4 paper doesnt support water or any solvent blending as GSM is very low.
You need to get high GSM quality paper to draw good water color painting.
I googled a lot and finally took risk in buying below sketchbook of 225 GSM quality paper from flipkart.
This sketchpad is very nice and accept 2-3 layers of color pencil even after you use water blending.
